Thoughts on Quentin?

Hey,

So do you think Carlos Quentin is for real or is he a sell high candidate? Where would you place him for value against another of with speed? For example; is he on par with crawford or ellsbury yet?

p.s. – the prediction analysis is great, but is it possible to figure predicted outcomes using ALL of the pitchers stats and not just the ones in your lineup at that time?

definitely for real. not sure if he has THIS much power but he was once (just a year ago) a highly rated prospect in the arizona farm system. more highly rated than conor jackson i believe.

as for the predicted outcomes, what you’re talking about is automated lineup optimization. We’ve looked into that and I think we will work on implementing that but the problem arises in the case of injuries and missed starts so we’d need to figure out how to deal with those scenarios. We’ll definitely look into that further and let you know as soon as we can get something in there for h2h leagues.
